![]() ![]() ![]() NOTE: Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) finally fixes the SD-Card debacle. If after following the above instructions, you are still defaulting to internal storage for the Download location, you may have to manually set your Download location to the external SD card. You may need to use the "Reset to defaults" settings option if you have an non-writable directory saved to your DosBox Turbo autoexec settings. Move your games to the public directory that is allowed on External Storage (which differs by phone), but is usually: / /Downloads/where "" is usually: / storage/extSdCard/ or /storage/sdcard/ (if the directory does not exist, you can create it).ĭosBox Turbo 2.1.14+ automatically defaults to the allowed directory (if you have external storage) and will create it if it doesn't already exist.Move your games to your Internal Storage (which does not have the same restriction). If you find your games are no longer working or you are unable to save your progress when using your External Storage on your device you have two options: Screen capture, serial and some other minor featuresĪndroid KitKat introduced a new restriction never before seen on Android: KitKat will not allow write access to the External Storage (ie. The goal of DosBox Turbo is to be the most highly optimized and feature enhanced version of DosBox for Android.Ĭertain desktop features of DosBox were removed due to limitations of Android. Starting with version 2.x.x, DosBox Turbo has been completely re-written to incorporate numerous new features and optimizations. Good luck.D osBox Turbo is a highly optimized custom Android Wrapper around the latest SVN version of DosBox. You will need a break out box to test them. If you still have no luck, the problem may be the pins on COM1 are non standard. If it does not work the next thing to try is another terminal emulator, such as Procomm or you could download a Shareware one from Download.COM. Select the ASCII Setup button, check each item (all three) for ASCII Receiving, and click OK and OK. Select the Settings tab and set Emulation to "TTY". Select Configure, and set the options to 1200, 7, 0, 1, and Hardware, and click OK. Make sure "Connect using" is set to "Direct to Com1". Have you tested the cable with another PC? For HyperTerminal I recommend you right click the icon you use. The problem could be a bad or wrong cable, HyperTerminal is not configurated properly, or the port pins are not stardard, such as Clear-to-Send is not ready. If it works with your Visioneer scanner and PDA I don't think Windows is the problem. Using the DOS mode command in a dos window in Win98 will not connect the com port to the scale. My guess (read I'm 3 or 4 programming literate on a 10 scale), is the my Win98 is holding the com port somehow. I've also used the scale on a DOS computer with the mode command and then redirecting the data to a file.no problems. I know the scale works, because of using NT machine. I'm trying to do the same with my Win98 laptop, but when print is hit on the small scale, nothing comes up in the hyperterminal session and the scale displays 'busy'.likes it can't get through or something. After a bunch of weighments, I cut and paste the data in the hyperterminal session and put into a word doc and save. Then when the one hits 'print' on the scale (a button on the small scale), the current weight is transferred to the PC and shows up in the hyperterminal session. With an NT computer, I set com1 to match the specs of the scale (12,O,7,1) in hyperterminal. I'm trying to connect to a small weighing scale ('balance') that has RS232 capability. Normally my laptop uses com1 to connect to a Visioneer scanner or my PDA connection.
